Gerald Clark is back from a tour in Europe and is ready to sooth your soul with his super cool new trio at Joostenberg wines on Saturday the 10th of February. It is hard to imagine anything better than sipping on excellent wine under the trees, enjoying great food followed by the soulful sounds of Clark’s voice and intoxicating grooves.
He has teamed up the legendary New York session drummer Michael Canfield and the brilliant hammond/piano player, Simon Orange, from the iconic Blues Broers to create a very slick and soulful sound that will ease your worries and put a smile on your face to last right through 2018!Clark is one of SA’s top talents and continues to deliver excellent performances abroad as well as on the home front.

More about Gerald Clark
It has been a busy few months for Gerald Clark. After the recording and release of his new album, Afrocoustic, he has travelled and toured in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Holland, Zambia and performed at some of the best venues, theatres and festivals South Africa has to offer.Clark managed to create his own style of singing, songwriting and performing, incorporating elements of country, soul, funk, jazz and blues which stays authentic as well as lending itself to a sound that can to be heard on radio.
His music is play listed on 5fm, Smilefm, RSG, Student radio stations and many independent stations that boasts on playing good original, local music.
With his new album, he teamed up with Barry van Zyl and Josh Hawkes, who are permanent members of the Johnny Clegg Band and Freshly Ground. The album contains traces of Maskandi and Mbaqanga which contributes to an interesting listening experience while his original style still stands strong.
